Blessings

BLUE = BOOK 3

Some gods and spirits can confer blessings on the people they deem or find worthy of them. The first time we see this happen in the story was back in Chapter 31 of Book 1, where Lamashtu confers a blessing on Alexander through Alaunvayas.

Alexander’s Blessings:

• Divine Sight

  • Your vision penetrates even the darkest of environments, and you can now see the souls of everything around you. Learn to see what a soul tells you, and you will never be deceived again.

• Eternal Life

  • Blessing of Nereides, the Princess of the Water Nymphs.

  • Nereides has bestowed upon you the blessing of Eternal Life. Your body will never grow older and your spirit will forever be healthy and full. Beware, for violence may still bring an end to your eternal life.

  • This blessing will restore the illusion of life to Isabella on the night she received it once a year. She’ll be as alive as she once was, if only for a brief moment in time.
