Skills, not unlike some common classes, can be crafted, but their cost and rarity made it virtually impossible to buy them. As a result, most people got a skill from leveling their classes.

Completing a dungeon may also reward you with a skill, but even then these are rare and the danger dungeons present cannot be overstated.

When reaching level 1 with a certain class, you receive your choice of a skill for that class. You receive another skill at level 10, then at 20, then at every ten levels until your class isn't able to go any higher.

Skills become more powerful at every interval of ten, so leveling a single class is often beneficial for receiving more powerful skills.

Skills can be upgraded. Alexander finds out skills can go up several tiers by using a skill shrine. The skill shrine will give you a quest to complete and once you complete it, the skill is upgraded.
