Characters
Green = BOOK 2
BLUE = BOOK 3
Constans
A small teenage girl of fourteen whose gender Alexander couldn’t puzzle out at first. When the two of them first met, Constans looked dirty, her hair a mangled mess, and her clothes hardly qualified as a sorry pair of rags.
Constans was very hesitant to share any details about her family, but it’s later revealed that she is an orphan and doesn’t have any family left.
Alexander took Constants under his wing in Chapter 23 of Book 1.
Constans has a crush on Mikael
This crush is further developed in Book 3, when Constans and Mikael are confirmed to be in a relationship.

Isabella
A (deceased) young woman who worked in an inn near Venice. She ended up becoming one of Alexander’s spirits soon after the two met, and she’s the closest thing Alexander has to a love interest.
It’s clear Isabella and Alexander like (or even love) each other.
Their relationship is taken to the next level when the two of them kiss at Nereides’ (the water nymph’s) pond.
Unlike an otherwise normal spirit, Isabella isn’t bound to Alexander in the typical sense. She is virtually free and while their souls are linked and connected to each other’s, Isabella doesn’t have to follow Alexander’s will to the letter the same way his other summons do.
Isabella has the ability to draw the souls of the deceased into herself and release them at will. The more souls she consumes, the stronger she gets. She can also shoot and manipulate ribbons from her dress. Besides that, she has the ability to create a foggy field that confuses enemies and blocks their vision.
Eternal Life Blessing (Nereides)
Ibi (Ibizrivenori the Shadow Dragon)
A female velociraptor who Alexander ended up bonding with, making her his mount.
She became Alexander’s bounded mount.
After her evolution (dragon), Ibi’s color took to a jet-black as even her scales changed into a more shadowy hue.
Ibi was still a wyrmling at the end of book 2.
80% of the way into book 3, Ibi evolved into a young dragon, having grown big enough to have Alexander ride her back.
Asylaion
Curly-haired, burly, and unusually strong despite the added weight the man lugged at his belly, Asylaion was the first person Alexander got to interact with after having bid his old world goodbye.
From their very first encounter, it's clear that Asylaion has somewhat of a soft spot for Alexander—in no small part because of the latter's innocently unwitting demeanor.
Asylaion was invited by Alexander to run the mining town in Miletus, an offer he accepted.
Nikephoros
A white-haired older man of about fifty or sixty who used to be in the military. He had a scarred and wrinkly figure and sported a spotty beard.
He later agreed to train Basil and the other teenagers Alexander recruited for his personal force.

A dark-haired older woman who runs a shop in Perama. She deals in classes and attribute tests.
Momma Lena moved to the mining town at the end of book 1.

It’s hinted at Valens and Romanus being lovers.
Has “a combat class or two,” but the specifics are unknown.
Uses two large daggers.
Has some kind of Shadow Class/Shadow Skill

A man who Alexander initially mistook for Romanus’ bodyguard.

Quxtloc
A Tlihi psychic who Alexander became good friends with after he got to the Tlihi city.
Captain Francesco Cavazza
An older man of fifty/sixty with a finely groomed beard and short brown hair. His skin was tanned and wrinkled and he had broad shoulders and appeared remarkably fit for his age.
He’s the captain of a trading ship and a fairly influential man, having a manor of his own in Venice where he conducted most of his trading.
Barimeak Mineholder
Stocky, broad but short, with a sturdy look to him.
Later in the second book, he becomes the leader of the dwarven force protecting Venice against the pirates.
Cannoneer Class
Mikael
A young merchant who started out as Alexander’s orichalcum buyer back in Sycae and, following the pirate attack on Venice, ended up as one of the city’s leading figures.
It’s hinted at him having a good relationship with Constans (who has admitted to liking the young merchant), but the extent of their relationship is unknown.
This changes in book 3 with the officialization of their relationship.
Master Lorenz
Short and old-ish.
A senior shipwright from Venice who would end up helping Alexander build his new fleet and develop his navy.
King Deepbreaker
King of the dwarves. When he and Alexander first met, Deepbreaker was wearing a gleaming set of plate armor and a majestic cloak of pure black that trailed behind him. He had a strong grip and his hand was covered in thick calluses.
He’s described as being older than most dwarves but not too old, something like middle aged in dwarf years. His beard was oiled and finely combed, different strands braided with golden bands and others trinkets, and his head was shaved to the scalp other than a topknot, also bound with a golden ring, that poked out the back of his head.
Uses a large battleaxe.
Berserker Class
Metal Detection Skill
Living Boulder Skill
Living Stone Golem Skill
King Francis
King of Lyon.
A skinny man in his forties or fifties, something Alexander guessed had something to do with his high endurance (since it made him look younger). He had a light beard that was neatly trimmed and a slight potbelly, which he concealed beneath loose clothing. He looked oddly normal, all things considered.
Roland de Guiscard
The son of the merchant Alexander the Crafter had talked with when deciding when to go on an expedition to one of France’s outposts.
At first, his attitude was deplorable, a reflection of the arrogant and self-important demeanor with which his father carried himself. He would drink constantly and berate everyone and everything to try and make himself feel more important. Later, however, after finally getting back on track thanks to Alexander’s persistent nudging, he proved to be a good and trustworthy man who even the people he’d abused before now loved and respected.
Uses a rapier.
Amice
A blacksmith from Lyon. She has a fervent and hot-headed personality, being very quick to lose her temper, but is, even if only deep down, a nice and caring person.
She’s slightly taller than Alexander the Crafter (who’s 5ft6) and had significantly more developed muscles, a sign she had been working as a blacksmith for some time.
She soon became responsible for the production of high-quality steel, having become a key figure in the Legion’s growing ‘empire.’
Roul
A leatherworker who joined the expedition Alexander the Crafter went on back in book 3.
The first time they met, he wore patchwork clothing that had seen more than its fair share of mending and carried a large bag over one shoulder. He was middle-aged, but appeared fit in the way most hard-working people did, and he had a rather impressive mustache that accentuated large cheeks and a ruddy nose that I suspected came from a bit too much drinking.
Although Alexander’s first impression of the man wasn’t positive, they became good friends later as they got to know each other better.
Cateline
A healer who joined the expedition Alexander the Crafter went on back in book 3.
She was an older woman with short blond hair with streaks of white in it and a look of dignity and poise, despite her simple clothing. She had a strong grip and calloused hands.
Caro
A carpenter who joined the expedition Alexander the Crafter went on back in book 3.
A ruggedly handsome man from the Italian coast. His wife was a beauty, although a bit shy, and he had two kids.
Henri
A gold-level adventurer who followed Roland in the expedition Alexander went on in book 3.
Uses a sword and shield.
Oudinet Toussaint
A Knight (class) from the Kingdom of Champenois.
Maya
A dark elf necromancer under Alaunvayas.
Dark Elf Necromancer Class
Mehmet
A boy the same age as Constans who worked as a bartender at the Bridge’s Edge bar.
Alexander later hired him to work at an empty inn in the mining town.
Innkeeper Class
Agathon
A librarian at the Imperial Library.
Akolythos
A guard at the Emperor’s Palace.
Akolythos beat Alexander in a duel and stole his “Shatter Armor” skill.
The Patriarch
Leader of the priest faction.
Alexios III
The current emperor. Rumor is he does little more than drinking.
Dark Elf Matron (Baeniryn)
One of the leading figures of the Dark Elf City. She and Alexander got off on the wrong foot.
Pelegrina Giustina
An elderly woman of sixty/seventy who knew a lot about high society. She tried to help Alexander fit into high society better.
Tuzaic Runeforger
Old dwarf with a white beard.
Tuzaic and Alexander had a very productive knowledge exchange that helped bring the two of them closer. Tuzaic also happened to be an enchanter and his runes/work would help Alexander even later in book 3.
The runes that Tuzaic had taught Alexander were primarily Intelligence runes, Memory runes, and then Transfer runes, which allowed for the quick exchange of information from the memory runes to the intelligence runes.
Qacnac
One of the war-leaders of the Tlihi people.
Adohiconqua
One of the war-leaders of the Tlihi people. She had led the war council during the attack at Carthage, and Alexander believed she was the de facto leader of the city.
Etzar
One of the captains of the Tlihi archers that had helped hold the wall with the legionnaires during the attack at Carthage.
Constans and Etzar had grown close during the time Alexander was recovering.
She’s the leader of the Tlihi Cavalry Unit that traveled with Alexander back to Italy.
Quintus Sertorius
Apostle of the Lord of the Great Abyss and the pirate king.
Short, thin, and rather severe-looking. Has short-cropped brown hair styled in an almost military-like manner and a clean-shaved face. Was shown dressing well, having been described by Alexander as “exuding a sense of refinement and discipline even though he stood only a few inches above five feet).
Achnimallen
Humanoid bird covered with feathers that’s taller than Alexander.
When Alexander first found him, the still-imprisoned Achnimallen was a desiccated mess with shimmering, multicolored feathers that appeared wilted and drooped. He looked to be near-death, no sign of his past glory present, and was tired beyond measure.
Despite its external appearance and exhausted tone, Achnimallen still spoke with a cultured and refined voice, almost like a diplomat or a scholar.
Achnimallen gets stronger from fighting. He feeds off fighting. He got lost in his rage and, after destroying a number of worlds and having gained so much power he was nigh unstoppable, his people came together to imprison him in the hope that he would grow weaker with the passing of millennia. He has become so weak he is now ‘mortal’ again, speaking volumes to the success of the imprisonment.
He advises Alexander to use his knowledge to try and defend this world. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and the crisis they’re facing (and will face in the near future) is nothing short of desperate.
Skill that lets him subdue lesser minds, turning them into thralls that will obey the commands of their masters without question.
Jorgik
A grizzled, older dwarf that was described by Alexander as being talkative.
He revealed to Alexander one of the reasons they settled in the underground cities they did when they first came here was that the Romans had built a number of tunnels and cities that ended up being forgotten thanks to everything that happened.
Berserker Class, which he taught Alexander.
Nereides, the Princess of the Water Nymphs
Alexander and Isabella came across Nereides on their way to Andenisa. She was beautiful and her body was made of nothing but water and moonlight. She also had one large lily tucked behind her ear.
The pond Nereides inhabited had magical water that healed wounds and nursed whoever drank it back to health.
Dungin Brothers
Two dwarven brothers who were experienced at using the harvested remains of monsters to forge their weapons.
